Great espresso, incredible price! Reviews De'Longhi EC155 15 BAR Pump Espresso and Cappuccino Maker

This De'Longhi EC155 15 BAR Pump Espresso unit consistently produces a thick layer of delicious crema. Using a coffee especially made for espresso, such as Lavazza, produces a much better espresso. Lavazza has the added benefit of allowing you to go for hours without blinking.
Enjoy delicious espresso made your way with the De'Longhi EC155 15 BAR pump espresso and cappuccino maker.
I was always skeptical of expensive espresso machines and wondered why anyone would pay hundreds of dollars for an expensive machine. I started with a steam driven machine after using the stovetop model for a long time. Now don't get me wrong this is not an $8000 super automatic espresso computer/machine with all the bells and whistles, this is a great starter pump driven espresso maker.
  • Use convenient pods or ground coffee with the patented dual function filter holder
  • Easily prepares latte and cappuccino with the swivel jet frother, for perfect drinks every time
  • Eliminate annoying start-up preparation with the self-priming operation
  • Always brew espresso at the perfect temperature with two separate thermostats, which allow for water and steam pressure to be controlled separately
  • Enjoy delicious espresso for years to come with the durable, high-quality stainless steel boiler and 15 bar pump pressure
With some time, effort, lack of frustration, and elbow grease you can make a damn good espresso, cappuccino, latte, etc. Make sure that the water is good clean filtered or bottled water, nothing from the tap. Decalcify the machine depending on frequency of use. Make sure if you grind your own beans they are in a grind setting suitable for espresso machines, and that the beans regardless of light or darkly roasted that they are not overly oily.

Pre-ground alternatives like lavazza are perfectly fine in the machine. Much better taste and crema than my old steam pressure maker, much safer too (burned myself a few times on the steam machine). The DelLonghi EC155 is an excellent budget machine found for under $100 that is pump driven. The best feature about this machine in my humble opinion is that it is E.S.E certified (easy serve espresso).

Having grown accustomed to the convenience of pod coffee, it was only natural to look for the same thing in my espresso machine. Do note that coffee (senseo style) pods will not work in here as those are much larger than the ESE certified pod. Try a nice blend from Baronet or another find espresso brand and you won't be sorry.

I highly recommend this De'Longhi EC155 15 BAR Pump Espresso and Cappuccino Maker machine. In short, it has fantastic features for the money, makes awesome espresso chrema, and it ESE certified for pod use.
