Reviews of Keurig Rivo R500 Brewer

Between the ease of use and the consistent brew this Keurig Rivo R500 Brewer machine is fantastic. The frother works great with non-fat milk and is also fun to watch. I purchased directly through Keurig which seems to have a better price. I'm a coffee snob, an espresso purist, and resisted all the pod-based machines like Francis Francis, etc. because i thought if you weren't tamping your own grounds and pulling your own shot, it wasnt the "real thing".

This Keurig Rivo R500 Brewer machine is AWESOME! At the sake of sounding like an informercial actor, I use it everyday, and have completely stopped going to chain coffee places.

Plus the machine was starting to corrode after 7 years of daily use, and the espresso was not tasting all that great. Reading the reviews, I felt hopeful this machine might be good. The milk frother is brilliant and does a perfect job. The espresso is absolutely delicious. I love this machine and would highly recommend it. After 8 months of continuous use the Rivo stopped making espresso quality froth. That said, Keurig replaced it immediately with a new Rivo machine.

If you run the machine longer, it will get more solid. You can also get to a more frozen consistency more quickly by putting superchilled mix in the machine. Use an ice bath to bring the mix to a cold temperature, or put it in the freezer, shaking up the mix periodically. I turned mine up higher so that my ice cream batches would solidify more quickly.

My family loves it! For better taste, boil the soymilk in sauce pot for 5 more minutes and get a finer coffer filter for it. It makes thick tasty soymilk, especially if you use the "double thick" function. All it needs is overnight-soaked organic (non-GMO is even better) soybeans and water and after 28min you have 1L of fresh tasty soymilk! I highly recommend this product. It is much better than Cuisinart soup maker.

Reviews Philips Saeco HD8833/47 Syntia Automatic Espresso Machine

I have had my Philips Saeco HD8833/47 Syntia machine for over 4 years. During that time, I have found it to be very reliable- consistently producing good quality coffee with ease. Since the machine is relatively small in size, it does not hold a massive quantity of beans, the water tank does have to be filled often (but it is very easy to fill), and the waste bucket needs to be emptied after 4-5 uses (easy to dump).

In particular, the Saeco HD8833/47 Syntia machine produces coffee not only with consistent flavor, but also with an excellent crema- a hallmark of good coffee making! I have been drinking espresso for a long time and I appreciate a well-balanced, properly extracted, silky crema and rich cup of gold. This machine is quick and consistent with every cup.
